I am a June 2011 graduate of the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning Program at Cal Poly Pomona. I also have a Bachelors in Journalism from the University of Missouri. Thus, this blog is a confluence of two of my greatest passions. I have a lot to say about the happenings within the field of transportation planning, particularly those pertinent to Southern California, the region that I call home.
The idea for this blog comes from my constant desire to post of my thoughts on transportation issues to my friends (almost all non transportation planners) via an email chain. Rather than bombard that chain, I thought I would post my thoughts here so only those who care to view them will do so and those people not on the chain can also partake.
In the blog, I will try to frame and comment on transportation issues in a form that non-planners or experts can understand. I'll also try to look at the happenings from a non-experts perspective and try to pose some of the questions a transportation layman might have. I welcome comments.
